| New Elements | New Features and Capabilities |
| Meson | Meson is a new Kvint-6 component. It can be used as a powerful calculation station that functionally exceeds all calculation tools in Kvint-5, and as a tool for creating object models. This makes it possible to use Kvint-6 to build training simulators. |
| Analysis Station | Kvint-6 includes a new analysis station with significantly expanded functionality. It combines and extends the capabilities of Data Analysis, Signal Analysis, Charts and Operating Hours components. This simplifies the analysis of complex situations and reduces the effort required to analyse archived data. |
| Macro Objects | In Kvint-6, object information displayed on the operator station, such as mnemonic symbols and object windows, can now include aggregated information from several simpler objects, including other macro objects. |
| Workspaces | The Kvint-6 operator station now integrates tabular data received from the archive, including event information and process and instrument-error information. By switching workspaces, an operator can quickly move from one information view to another. |
| Integration | The Kvint-6 operator station integrates the functions of the event station, instrument-error station and analysis station. As a result, the operator can quickly switch from one information type to another. |
| Archive Maintenance Automation | In Kvint-6, archive volumes can be automatically filtered, moved and/or deleted on a predefined schedule or when certain events occur. This reduces the number of manual archive operations and simplifies its maintenance. |
| Reference Curves | A new Kvint-6 component makes it possible to clearly compare actual and reference parameter changes and transmit reference values to the controller in order to optimize control. |
| Expanded Colour Palette | The Kvint-6 operator station no longer has a limit on the number of colours in video displays. The full computer-supported palette can now be used, allowing True Color raster and video images to be embedded in process diagrams. |
