Kvint-6 Controllers

Kvint-6 includes two types of controllers: the multichannel, multi-purpose Remikont R-380 and the compact field Remikont R-390. Remikonts consist of a base processor unit and I/O modules, including a range of analogue, discrete and pulse input/output modules.

Remikont R-380 controllers are built in a 19-inch rack chassis that houses the base processor unit and up to 16 I/O modules. Through project-specific configuration, the same controller model can be used as:

• a standalone control controller;
• a redundant control controller;
• a redundant protection controller;
• a redundant control controller with an electronic safety system in an automatic frequency and power control system (turbine controller).

Remikont R-390 controllers are built in a 10-inch rack chassis. Their I/O modules can be installed in the central unit together with the processor or in expansion units located at a considerable distance from the central unit (field I/O). The processor unit can be standalone or redundant.

Remikont R-380 and R-390 controllers share a common library comprising more than 100 standard algorithms and over 500 functions to perform all data acquisition, preliminary processing, automatic control, logic and program control, calculation, and actuator-control tasks, including control and discrete valves, gate valves, motors and other devices.

All controllers support hot swapping of I/O modules without disconnecting the power supply.

Controllers operate from a 220 V AC or DC power supply. The supply network and power units can be redundant.
