New Network Architecture

New Elements New Features and Capabilities
Controller Networks Kvint-6 uses Ethernet networks at all levels, including workstation and controller levels.
Network Redundancy Tools The redundant network, including gateways, switches and cables, consists of two fully independent networks. New self-diagnostic software detects faults anywhere in the network and redirects information flows through the operational network.
OPC Technology

The OPC capabilities in Kvint-6 have been significantly expanded. Kvint can now monitor not only signals but also events and errors generated by other systems, and archive all types of messages issued by other systems.

Kvint-6 also introduces a new OPC Bridge component that enables two-way data exchange between Kvint controllers and controllers of other systems.

Web Technology Web technology makes it possible to view selected process-parameter values in tabular form on a computer that is not equipped with Kvint. The computer only needs a web browser. Web monitoring simplifies the maintenance of multiple management workstations and, when necessary, provides access to this information over the Internet.
Domainless Architecture Alongside domain-based architecture, Kvint-6 supports operation within a workgroup without a domain controller. This simplifies the implementation of small- and medium-scale systems.
