TSA-Service developed the KvIntegrator SCADA system, an integral part of the Kvint-6 hardware and software system, and incorporated a migration mechanism from Kvint-5 to Kvint-6. Our customers using Kvint-5 who want to upgrade it or expand their systems with new information technologies can do so without significant capital expenditure.
Migration to Kvint-6 is carried out as follows:
All other system components—cabinets, controller racks, processors, I/O modules, power units, power converters, terminal blocks, cabling, computers and switches—remain unchanged.
After this upgrade, the Remikont R-310 included in Kvint-5 is designated R-310M and connected to the system through an Ethernet network. The capabilities of the system as a whole become equivalent to those of Kvint-6. If necessary, the system can be expanded using Remikont R-380 and/or R-390 controllers included in Kvint-6.
Under an agreement with the customer, TSA-Service LLC is ready to perform such an upgrade in 5–10 days, depending on the number of controllers. The first upgrade of this kind was successfully completed at Konakovo GRES in 2018. All system software was migrated to Kvint-6, and a turbine controller based on the Kvint-6 Remikont R-380 was added to the upgraded Kvint-5 controllers.
